ABOUT THIS PROJECT

OBJECTIVE

To create an inexpensive, robust, and novel means of detecting input for prosthetic arms utilizing photo sensors and DSP techniques on collected data to direct a prosthetic arm in as close to real-time as possible.

DSP PROBLEM FOCUS

The Digital Signal Processing problem we are planning to solve is to use quickest change detecting to isolate the noises from the actual signals and to identify when the user is flexing and direct the arm accordingly.
